In this article, we will discuss the reasons why you need to integrate your Shopify store with Facebook and provide you with helpful tips on how to do it. Let’s start!
As with any other type of integration, connecting your Shopify online store with Facebook can help you enhance quality, as well as, increase the convenience and the efficiency of your workflow.

There are some factors of the integration that can make marketing your store easier and help you save time and energy. For example, the Facebook shop extensions and the dynamic ads, are a few of the many examples. Other factors can help you increase store engagement, boost sales, build customer trust, and maximize profit. These are all powerful benefits you can’t afford to ignore.

Here is how to integrate Shopify with Facebook:

Install Facebook Tracking Pixel

The Facebook tracking pixel has two unique purposes. It tracks user activity (it helps you retarget users who have visited specific pages or taken specific actions on your website). It also tells you how to create effective Facebook campaigns by showing you exactly how many clicks have turned into conversions. The best method of installing the tracking pixel doesn’t require any special knowledge or experience. As a matter of fact, it is easier than installing it on a website. The first thing you need to do is locate your pixel (it can be found in Facebook Ads Manager). You need to find the “Measure & Report” category and click on Pixels. Copy your account’s Pixel number. The next thing you need to do is navigate your Shopify store and select the option “Online Store” and after that, click “Preferences”. Paste the Pixel ID number on the Facebook Pixel tab and your pixel will be up and running. This method will automatically track these six conversions - Search, Purchase, AddPaymentInfo, InitiateCheckout, AddtoCart, ViewContent. You can easily track custom conversions by installing code directly to website pages, however, Shopify doesn’t recommend this unless you are an experienced web developer and you have HTML experience.

Sync your Facebook Store with Your Shop

Any kind of business can create a Facebook shop where they can sell items directly through Facebook. If you are running a store, Shopify allows you to create a Facebook shop that is synced with your store. This means you can sell your items directly on Facebook. If you want, you can only choose to sell your items on Facebook. It is your decision. The Shopify Facebook app is perfect for this purpose. The application is free, however, it requires for you to use at least the Shopify Lite package that costs $9 a month. In order for you to set up the Facebook shop, you need to first connect to your Facebook page. If you already have items online, Facebook will review your store (this can take up to 48 hours). Once the review is over, you can publish your items on Facebook. To learn everything you need to know to synchronize your store with Shopify, go to https://shopify.com/facebook

Create dynamic ads for Facebook

The dynamic ads you see on Facebook allows you to run personalized campaigns showing Facebook and Instagram ads to users that show the exact items they have been looking at on your website. By using this method, an app is required. That way you don’t have to bother yourself with codes, instead, you will use the pixel that was installed before. Get the Facebook Product Feed application. Install it and choose the items you want to be included in the product feed. Keep in mind that all items need to be visible in your store. Select the Format Feed for the native Shopify pixel setting, copy the URL, go to Facebook Ads Manager and select “Catalogs” (in the Assets category), choose the category of items you are selling, select the page to which your catalog belongs, choose the option to add products, and select how often you want the feed to be updated.
